When I asked a diverse group of individuals, spanning different generations and backgrounds, the question "What is this?" I was intrigued by the range of answers I received. To my surprise, only a handful were able to correctly identify it. It dawned on me that my familiarity with this object stemmed from my childhood days spent playing with them. Growing up, my parents ran a pizza restaurant that dates back to 1959. In that nostalgic space, adorned with a jukebox, these items were commonly used to insert in a 45 record to play on a jukebox. It's moments like these that serve as enlightening glimpses into our rich history.
